Install the extension

The extension is the piece that actually fills and submits forms. It runs in your browser, signed in as you.

Everything upstream of this — sweeping boards, ranking roles, rewriting your résumé — happens on the server. The last step does not. A form is submitted by your own browser, in your own session, because that is the only way an application arrives as genuinely yours.

Add it from the Chrome Web Store

  1. 01Open the applyNchill — Apply Agent listing on the Chrome Web Store and press Add to Chrome.
  2. 02If Chrome says "Proceed with caution", press Continue to install. Only people with Enhanced Safe Browsing turned on see this, and Chrome says it about any extension whose publisher is new to the store.
  3. 03Chrome lists what the extension may do: read and change your data on the job sites it applies on, read your browsing history (that is how it follows the tab it opened), and show notifications. Press Add extension.
  4. 04Click the applyNchill icon in the toolbar. Its panel opens down the right-hand side of the window.
  5. 05Open the Account tab and sign in with the same email and password you use on this website.

Pin it so it stays in the toolbar: press the puzzle-piece icon, then the pin beside applyNchill. The first time the panel opens, Chrome also offers to pin the panel itself. Updates arrive by themselves from the store; there is nothing to download again.

Signing in there is separate from signing in here

The website and the extension each hold their own sign-in. Until the panel is signed in, the extension asks for work as an anonymous browser, and nothing queued to your account ever reaches it. The Run tab says so in as many words, so if applications are not moving, look there first.

Running the stack yourself and loading the extension unpacked instead? With Docker, load app/app/extension, not job-apply-extension — the container rebuilds that folder on every start, and it is where your uploaded résumé and profile are written.

What it can and cannot do

It fills the form and presses submit. It does not choose which jobs to apply for — that is decided by your matches and your queue, on the server, before the extension ever sees a task. When a question genuinely needs you, it stops and asks rather than guessing.
